ASU schools and student groups present their latest work and remarkable ideas to Arizona state legislators at ASU's Day at the Capitol 2020.During the 34th annual ASU Day at the Capitol, students from various ASU schools and colleges, including the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering, showcased their work for legislators. The event gives students, professors and lawmakers an opportunity to connect with each other about the work being done within their districts. This event also serves as an opportunity for many ASU students to get an introduction to the way that the Legislature operates and to interact with senators and representatives from all across the state — even their own districts. 3rd Annual ASU Congressional Conference 2019
The 2019 ASU Congressional Conference addressed one of Arizona's biggest problems — water policy. Arizona is facing a colossal challenge in managing its water supply — especially with the uncertainty of climate change effects. State policymakers, scientists and influencers convened to discuss potential solutions, as well as the scope of the problems, at “Revolutionizing Arizona’s Water Future,” the 2019 Congressional Conference sponsored by ASU's Office of Knowledge Enterprise Development and Office of Government and Community Engagement. 33rd Annual ASU Pow Wow 2019
An annual event featuring thousands of spectators representing 100 Native tribes from around US and Canada. The 33rd Annual ASU Pow Wow event drew in thousands of spectators representing 100 Native tribes from around US and Canada for a 3-day gathering. Thousands of people gathered into Sun Devil Stadium to cheer for dancers and singing groups from Apache, Hopi, Navajo and other tribes. In addition to approximately 300 dancers and singers wearing traditional regalia and paying homage to their ancestors, the weekend-long event also included the crowning of Mr. and Ms. Indian ASU, as well as vendors selling Native American jewelry, crafts, clothes, rugs and traditional fry bread. 33rd Annual ASU Day at the Capitol 2019
Students and legislators get a chance to interact at the annual ASU Day at the Capitol showcase in Phoenix.
ASU Day at the Capitol has become a staple in the interaction between the Arizona State Legislature and the university since its inaugural event 33 years ago. Every year ASU brings representatives from some of its many departments, programs and initiatives to show legislators what the university is working on.
This event also serves as an opportunity for many ASU students to get an introduction to the way that the Legislature operates and to interact with senators and representatives from all across the state — even their own districts.

2nd Annual ASU Congressional Conference 2018
Congress Members and industry leaders met during the Second Annual ASU Congressional Conference to discuss space innovation. Space exploration stakeholders met at the 2018 ASU Congressional Conference to discuss challenges facing NASA, building a STEM workforce and academic-government research partnerships. NASA officials, private space companies, scientists and academics were brought together at the ASU hosted event to discuss the development of workforce to get mankind into space, how the private and academic sectors can partner with government and what universities can contribute to space exploration. Leaders at ASU's first annual Congressional Conference debate cybersecurity challenges.
Cybersecurity is hard to define, train for and fight against. And it may be the biggest threat of the 21st century.
Six members of Congress, one senator and representatives from academia, business and the military, gathered at the first Arizona State University Congressional Conference on Cybersecurity to frame questions and paths forward.
Questions included what is critical infrastructure, who should defend what, and how to best train workforce to fight it.
